LORGAR RANKINGS: A New CS2 Tournament for Eastern Europe’s Rising Talent

Initiated by LORGAR and produced in partnership with StarLadder, the Valve Tier-2 tournament brings VRS ranking points and a $50,000 LAN Finals to the region. March 12 – April 26, 2026.

Why this matters

Counter-Strike 2 runs on Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the official league table that determines which teams get invited to the biggest events – Majors, where millions of dollars are at stake. Teams earn ranking points by competing in Valve-approved tournaments.

The challenge for Eastern European teams is access. Too few regional tournaments carry VRS status, which means fewer chances to climb the rankings.

LORGAR RANKINGS changes that for 18 countries at once. As a Valve Tier-2 event, every match counts toward VRS standings. For teams across the region, this is a direct opportunity to earn ranking points, gain competitive experience, and increase visibility for larger invitations.

What is LORGAR RANKINGS

LORGAR RANKINGS is a CS2 tournament initiated by LORGAR and produced in partnership with StarLadder. The company has been running esports events since 2001 and has hosted two CS Majors: Berlin 2019 and Budapest 2025.

The tournament runs from March 12 to April 26, 2026. It follows a three-stage format: open national qualifiers feed into a closed online stage, which then narrows the field for a LAN Final.

A LAN (local area network) final is an in-person event where all players compete side by side in the same physical venue under identical conditions, using the same gear provided by LORGAR.

Stage 1: Open National Qualifiers (March 12–15, online)
Registration opens February 26. Format: Single Elimination (Bo1), with Bo3 deciders. Top teams from each national qualifier advance to the Closed Qualifier.

Stage 2: Closed Qualifier (March 20 – April 10, online)
The best teams from the Open Qualifiers enter a structured online competition. It begins with a GSL group stage, followed by Double Elimination (Bo3). Four teams advance to the LAN Finals.

Stage 3: LAN Finals (April 25–26, offline studio, EU Schengen area)
Eight teams compete in a two-day studio event: four Closed Qualifier winners and four teams invited directly based on European VRS rating (snapshot date: April 6). Format: Single Elimination, Bo3. Total prize pool: $50,000.

The exact studio location and broadcast details will be announced at lorgar.com/rankings and on StarLadder’s social channels.
