The main thing about weapons in CS2
Weapons in counter strike must be purchased in each round if you did not survive in the past. There are only two weapons that you will have at the beginning of the round after dying or starting the half – a starter pistol and a knife. Other weapons and ammunition must be purchased.

- The Tec-9 is a semi-automatic pistol available only to players on side T. This weapon is best suited for rushing and quick firefights. Its advantage is accuracy, rapid fire, and high kill rewards.
- The Five-SeveN is the equivalent of the Tec-9 for the defense side. It is also semi-automatic, and at close range, it poses a great threat to the enemy.
- Dual Berettas are a pair of pistols that are used simultaneously. They have a high rate of fire and a large magazine capacity, but lack power. They are useful in close combat, where their intensity of fire will overwhelm opponents, and are often used as a defense to meet an enemy’s exit in a confined space.
- CZ75-Auto is a fully automatic pistol. It is powerful in close combat, but its small magazine requires precise aiming.
- The R8 revolver is a pistol that deals a lot of damage, but its long delay when pulling the trigger requires precision and good timing. Only use the R8 when you can reliably hit your target.
SMG guns
SMG guns are used in the force and anti-eco rounds. They work well at close range. Also, the successful use of PPs has a positive effect on the economic component, as you get $600 for a kill with this weapon. The most popular representatives of this type of weapon in the game are:
- MAC-10 (for T) and MP9 (for CT) – these weapons are inexpensive and quite accurate at close range. They are ideal for aggressive playstyles due to their high speed of movement.
- P90 – has a high rate of fire and a large magazine, which makes it terrible in close combat. However, it has a higher price and lower reward per kill. Choose the P90 for aggressive attacks and situations where you expect to face multiple opponents.
- The UMP-45 and MP7 are other classic CS2 farm guns that have a high rate of fire and are very effective at close range.
Rifles
The main weapon in CS2 is the rifle, which is much better suited for long-range firefights. The most popular rifles are the following:
- The M4A4/M4A1-S are the two main types of rifles for the CT side. Both combine power, rate of fire and accuracy. But the M4A1-S has greater accuracy due to the silencer, but the advantage of the M4A4 is the greater number of rounds in the magazine.
- AK-47 – this rifle is the main choice for the T side, but if the defense player has the opportunity to pick it up, he will take the chance. The strength of the AK lies in its high firepower, which allows you to kill the enemy with one shot to the head, even if he is wearing a helmet. However, the AK-47 has a complex spray control, and if you master it, this weapon can change the course of not only the round, but the entire match.
- FAMAS is a smaller version of the M4 and is only available to players on the CT side. This weapon is often bought when there is not enough money for M4. FAMAS has a high rate of fire, but deals less damage compared to the M4.
- Galil is an alternative to the AK-47 for the attacking side. It is somewhat similar to the FAMAS, due to its rapid fire rate, and this weapon has a larger clip.
- The AWP is the most powerful and terrifying weapon in CS2. This sniper rifle destroys the enemy with one accurate shot to the body or head. But you have to remember that the weapon is not fast-firing and mobile.
- The SSG 08 (or “Scout”) is a cheaper alternative to the AWP. It is a less powerful weapon that requires a headshot, but provides greater speed of movement when aiming. It is used when the team has a limited budget.
- The SG553 is a rifle with a telescopic sight that is in service with the T. It does a lot of damage and is very accurate, especially when using the telescopic sight.
- The AUG is an analog of the SG 553, but for the CT side. This rifle also has increased accuracy at long ranges. The AUG also has a high rate of fire and good damage output, making it a reliable choice for players who prefer long-range target practice.

Spray in CS2
Spray is a fundamental aspect of successful shooting in CS2 that determines the behavior of bullets during continuous firing of the weapon. Spray refers to the deviation of bullets from the target due to recoil, which leads to the formation of a characteristic pattern of bullet movement.
Spray control is an important skill in CS2. Each weapon has a unique spray pattern, and knowing this can greatly improve your accuracy and allow you to make multi-kills. To improve this skill, practice short bursts of shots, shoot from a crouch, and drag the mouse down or move it in certain directions.
