Battlefield REDSEC is a free mode in Battlefield 6. It is created in the “battle royale” genre to compete with Call of Duty: Warzone and other representatives of the Battle Royale genre.
The events of Battlefield REDSEC take place on the Fort Lyndon map, which is located in California, USA. The gameplay is built around 100 players, divided into 25 squads of four players or 50 squads of two, fighting to remain the only surviving squad.
Although REDSEC is similar to other games in its genre, it still has its own features. We have gathered recommendations for you that will help you improve your results in the game.
Maintain balance
REDSEC, like classic Battlefield, uses the class system familiar to the series – assault, engineer, support, and recon. Players have the opportunity to choose which class to play, and the character’s abilities depend on this choice.
All classes have their own advantages and disadvantages. However, not everyone should choose the same class. It is important to maintain balance, as this will allow your team to be prepared for different developments of events.
Use a microphone
When choosing classes, as well as during the game itself, it is important to communicate with your teammates. This will allow you to coordinate actions with the whole team and avoid moments of miscommunication, which often can lead to everyone dying.
Plan your drop location
Thanks to the microphone, you will be able to coordinate the drop location with your team at the beginning of the game. This is an important factor that you should rely on when building your action plan in REDSEC.
For landing, it is better to choose a point that highlights your strengths. Dropping thoughtlessly into places where there are many players is not recommended, as this may lead to a quick end of the match for you.
Shooting tips
Shooting is one of the main factors of successful gameplay. To avoid heavy bullet spread at long distances, use short bursts or fire single shots. You should also avoid moving while shooting; for better accuracy, it is better to shoot while standing still or crouching.
To practice shooting, you can use special maps or choose less crowded locations on the map to first get used to the spray.
Use the movement mechanics to the fullest
In Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, the movement mechanics have been significantly improved, allowing you to be more mobile and aggressive in the game. You can slide over short distances and also perform rolls.
To slide, you first need to gain momentum, so run short distances. After that, by pressing the crouch key twice, you will be able to slide.
To perform a roll, you need to press the crouch button when you jump over obstacles or jump from a height. However, when jumping from a height, the roll is often performed automatically upon landing.
Do not skip missions
During the game, you will be offered various additional missions (contracts) scattered across the map, for completing which you will receive a certain bonus. Successfully completing a task gives you a kit that will improve your weapon, or you may receive a key card for a vehicle.
The reward in such missions often justifies the time spent on them. Therefore, if you refuse additional tasks, you may fall behind your enemies in terms of equipment level, which will work to their advantage.
Upgrade your armor
You have slots for armor plates that provide additional protection. If you have a blue-level “armor vest,” you will have one additional plate; purple adds two plates. Each of them adds 50 durability points.
Thanks to the presence of plates, enemy weapons deal approximately 20% less damage to you than without them.
Avoid the zone circle
In REDSEC, it is better to try to get into the playable zone immediately, because being outside of it will kill you instantly. At the same time, you should not get too close to its edge, as it deals damage if you approach it too closely.
Revive your teammates and listen for the siren
On the map in REDSEC, you can find special beacons that, when activated, allow you to revive your teammates. When such a beacon is activated, a loud, roaring siren sounds, which can be heard by players nearby.
If you hear a siren and are nearby, you can move with your team toward that beacon, as there will clearly be an incomplete squad there, which will be easier to eliminate.
If you are using a beacon yourself, be careful and try to change your position immediately so that enemies cannot push you. At the same time, do not be afraid to use the beacon, because squad size plays an important role in REDSEC, reviving teammates can help you take first place.

Do not be afraid to use vehicles
Various vehicles are scattered across the REDSEC map, such as Hummers, golf carts, helicopters, quad bikes, trucks, and more. By using them, you will be able to move around the map faster, as well as get ahead of opponents who are moving on foot toward the safe zone, meeting them from advantageous positions.
Heavy vehicles such as tanks can also be used in REDSEC. However, these types of vehicles are not available to everyone. To gain access, you first need to find a key card, which can be obtained as a reward for completing various contracts. Of course, this card can also be found among the loot of a killed enemy, and very rarely it appears as random loot on the map.
After you have found the key card, you need to head to a location marked with the Garage or Vehicle Trailer icon. Once you approach it, you will have the option to open the doors to the facility where the vehicle is located, but keep in mind that, just like with respawn beacons, a loud siren sounds when it is opened.
At the same time, only one player in the squad can carry the key card.
Try to upgrade your weapons
At the start of the match, you, like most players, will have low-level weapons. However, the more the zone circle shrinks, the more often your enemies will be armed with higher-level weapons.
You should not fall behind them, so always pick up better weapons whenever possible. The higher their rarity, the better. Purple or gold weapons are an excellent choice.
To upgrade your weapon, you need to find a Weapon Kit, which is often found in orange crates. After that, you need to open your inventory and activate the weapon upgrade.
You can also customize your own custom weapon in the lobby, which can be obtained during the game through Custom Weapon Drops.
Currently, the priority weapons for upgrading are RPKM, B36 A4, and M4A1.

At the same time, at the beginning your pistol plays an important role. When you land in a popular location, the probability of encountering an enemy immediately is very high, so you must be ready to engage in combat right away without searching for other loot.
Use Shakedown
After you knock down an enemy, do not rush to finish them off. It is better to make sure there are no other enemies nearby, approach them, and use Shakedown – this function will show your team where their teammates are located.
So do not forget about Shakedown, as it gives you a significant advantage when choosing a position for an engagement.
